Intelligence Research, Grounded in Tradecraft
Pangea Research is a practitioner-led intelligence firm serving government agencies, law enforcement, and private sector organizations. We conduct open-source intelligence research, build OSINT programs, and publish free educational resources grounded in real-world tradecraft — not theory.
We help organizations collect, analyze, and act on open-source intelligence — and we help practitioners get better at the work itself.
OSINT Research & Analysis
Targeted open-source intelligence research for due diligence, risk assessment, competitive analysis, and investigative support. We deliver finished intelligence products — not raw data dumps.
Training & Education
Custom OSINT training programs, workshops, and curriculum development for organizations building or improving in-house intelligence capabilities. We teach tradecraft that's grounded in doctrine and built for practitioners.
Program Development & Advisory
OSINT workflow assessments, SOP development, policy governance, and technology recommendations for organizations standing up or maturing their intelligence programs.
We publish free, in-depth research on intelligence tradecraft through The Intelligence Fundamentals Project on Substack. The series covers the intelligence cycle, analytic standards, intelligence disciplines, collection management, and more — written for practitioners across military, law enforcement, and private sector contexts.
This isn't surface-level content. Each article is researched against primary doctrine and designed to bridge the gap between formal IC methodology and practical application for the broader intelligence community.
What Are Analytic Standards, and Why Do They Exist?
What ICD 203 requires, why standards matter beyond compliance, and how they apply outside the IC.
Introduction to Tactical, Operational & Strategic Intelligence
The three levels of intelligence, what distinguishes them, and why the distinctions matter for how you scope and deliver your work.
The Intelligence Cycle: A Practitioner's Guide
How the intelligence cycle actually works in practice, beyond the textbook diagram.
In addition to The Intelligence Fundamentals Project, we publish articles exploring OSINT methodology, digital investigations, and the human factors that shape investigative outcomes.
Cultural Awareness in OSINT Collection
How cultural context shapes open-source intelligence collection and why ignoring it produces unreliable analysis.

Why resilience isn't just a personal trait — it's a professional capability that shapes the quality of investigative outcomes.

Pangea Research was founded by Jessica Stutzman, an intelligence professional with over 15 years of experience across the intelligence community. Her background spans OSINT, HUMINT, SIGINT, and related disciplines, with work supporting organizations including the United Nations.
Jessica is currently a doctoral candidate in Strategic Intelligence at American Military University, where her dissertation research focuses on human-in-the-loop validation processes in AI-assisted investigations. She chairs the OSINT course for the International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS), serves on the OSINT Foundation's Resourcing and Policy Committee, and publishes The Intelligence Fundamentals Project — a free educational series on intelligence tradecraft for practitioners across government, law enforcement, and private sector domains.
She built Pangea Research to do two things: deliver high-quality OSINT work for clients who need it, and raise the bar for intelligence education across the community.
